JerryRigEverything is a popular YouTube channel that shares videos about smartphone durability tests or teardowns. Whether you find an odd satisfaction in watching electronic devices being ripped apart or just love DIY stuff, JerryRigEverything is a great channel to follow.

Let’s learn more about the channel and the man running it.

Our “JerryRigEverything Wiki” or Who’s JerryRigEverything?

An American named Zack Nelson operates the JerryRigEverything channel. Zack Nelson was born in 1988 and lives in Utah. Before starting his massively popular YouTube channel and even before college, Zack did construction and even built computers as a side job.

About a decade ago, Zack managed to repair his own Jeep for $80 against a quoted price of $1,000, thanks to a YouTuber who explained how to do it in a video. Zack was intrigued, and after an interaction with the YouTuber, he decided to help people fix or build their own stuff, too.

Over the years, Zack turned his love of repairing things into one of the internet’s most viewed cell phone repair channels. His instructions are easy to follow, and millions of people have benefited from his videos. Subsequently, he has even been hired to create instructional videos for manufacturers and factories worldwide.

Besides smartphones, Zack is also interested in drones, electric cars, DIY solar, etc.

JerryRigEverything Wife

As of 2022, Zack Nelson is married to a woman named Cambry Kaylor. Cambry and Zack were together in high school and reconnected again a few years ago. Cambry is paralyzed from her waist down after a horse-riding accident.

Cambry often appears in JerryRigEverything’s videos. She has also helped Zack build one of the biggest Lego Technic sets, the terrain crane.

Cambry’s life also inspired Zack to start an off-road wheelchair company named “Not a Wheelchair”.

Zack’s YouTube journey started in 2012, and while he barely had a few subscribers for the first few videos, his consistency shot him to fame over the last few years. As of August 2022, the channel has almost 7.5 million subscribers and a whopping 1.5 billion views.

The name Jerry is a tribute to his grandfather. The channel has a witty tagline, “Life is a do it yourself project”. Zack tells us that he likes to review technology from the inside and that electric cars are the future.

On the JerryRigEverything channel, you can usually find Zack bending Apple or Android phones or scratching them with knives and other sharp objects. The durability, bend tests, and scratch tests are generally brutal on the devices but help people understand the limits of what these gadgets can handle.

You can spot well-known brands on Zack’s channel, such as Samsung, Oneplus, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, etc. The channel is not just about breaking and bending stuff. Zack often shares technology reviews of smartphones, wheelchairs, and occasionally cars, notably Tesla.

Zack also has another YouTube channel named ZacksJerryRig, which is Zack’s platform to share stuff about his travels, vlogs, and other things that he finds interesting. The channel is quite popular, with about 227k subscribers and over 22m views.

Nelson often collaborates with other popular YouTuber channels such as “What’s Inside” and “The King of Random”.
