ECOtality is the sweet company that funds Ecotality Life. They are a public company (OTC BB: ETLY) and they work on all sorts of cool ways to change our dependency on foreign oil and utilize renewable energies. And because they pay the bills around here, we also should mention they own and run FuelCellStore.com – you guessed it, a fuel cell store and Innergy Power, a company specializing in manufacturing solar modules and rechargeable batteries. Ecotality is also developing an awesome hydrogen on-demand technology called Hydrality with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labs. You can learn more about what they do at their corporate page.
Ecotality Life is a site dedicated to helping people find new cool green gadgets and teaching them about the booming market of green investing and technology. Our writers spend a lot of time surfing the web and working their network of contacts in the industry for the latest news so our readers don’t have to. Come to Ecotality LIfe for reviews of the latest green technology as well as in-depth analysis on the companies working to bring us a greener, profitable future.
ECOtality the company doesn’t really have much to do with the day to day operations of Ecotality Life, they are just happy to be attached to such an awesome blog.
- Who are the people who really run this place?
Brooke Lowry is our great leader at Ecotality Life. She used to be a pro volleyball player before working as a stock analyst and online video star. Brooke runs things out of the ECOtality office in Arizona.
Michael d’Estries is an experienced green blogger, online media and marketing professional, and budding green TV star. He’s the co-founder of Ecorazzi.com, which he is currently turning into a TV show; the founder and Editor of Groovy Green; and wears the hat of Editor in Chief at Ecotality Life. He corrals the kittens that we call our writers (meow!) and makes sure all our content is grade A.
Our Publisher Shea Gunther is the self proclaimed “coolest guy named Shea Gunther you’ll ever meet” and makes his living as an eco-entrepreneur, green blogger, and consultant. He lives in Maine with his family in two tipis and will be building his green dream home next summer. Shea develops content, writers, and provides overall creative input into all things bloggy for Ecotality Life.
- Can you be bribed to write about my gadget/company/website?
Right now, probably. When we get a year or so under our belt and delude ourselves with trappings of respectability, definitely not.
We’ll cover anyone for the right price (Michael is partial to Godiva Chocolates, Shea likes Powerboats), but we can’t promise that we won’t write that it sucks. Our attention is for sale, our ethics are not.
All kidding aside, if you have something that you think we should see/cover/mock, send it to greenproducts@ecotality.com
