Zero Air Pollution (ZAP) markets a range of electric vehicles, scooters, and bikes, and each time ZAP sells an EV, they plant a tree (awwww…). But, perhaps most interesting is their latest product: ZAP Alias.
With projected availability by 2009, the ZAP Alias, a 2 seat, 3 wheeled electric vehicle, is causing quite a stir with its reasonable price tag of $32,500. Technically a motorcycle with safety upgrades, including seatbelts and a roll bar, the Alias is already street legal in many states. It boasts 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, has an EV range of 100+ and can get up to 100 mph. The glitch? The Alias doesn’t exist yet…but ZAP is taking on-line reservations for the Alias with a $5,000 deposit, and let’s be honest, it’s one sexy 3 wheeler.
