When I first rode a prototype of Vectrix’s Maxi-Scooter in the summer of 2006, I was struck by how silky-smooth the acceleration was. Bursting through traffic and overtaking other vehicles was definitely not an problem. Apparently, however, there were some that needed a little more “oompf”. Enter the Vectric Electric Superbike.
This thing looks deadly. With the Maxi-Scooter finally available stateside, Vectric is hitting the concept scene once again with a prototype superbike that can hit speeds of 125mph and cruise for about 70. You’ll pass a quarter-mile in about 12 seconds with this beauty — which is about 5 seconds slower than the Killacycle. From Gizmag,
“The battery’s a 240v, 7.5KWh unit but we’re currently unsure whether Vectrix has moved past NiMH onto the more effective but less well-known lithium-polymer units that are leading the development charge in terms of power and range.
Thanks to Robrady design, the bike’s appearance is stunning, the subframe and seat suspended in midair over the beefy “tank” area, and the large electric motor sitting in plain view on the rear hub. In total the bike weighs in at 204kg.”
If Vectrix gets 500 deposits, they’ve promised to press the bike into production. Let’s hope there are some rich, interested speed demons out there! Hit the Giz for additional photos.

This is so much more practical than the Killacycle, and I think it’s much more useful as transportation. It would be the perfect bike if I was still in Florida. install a solar panel on the garage and you have transportation that’s almost free!
where are you guy going start sale the bike, because I want one so bad and can’t find anyone to tell me where I get it!
