Now here is an idea we all can use to help reduce green house gases. Avantair, a fractional jet ownership company, has teamed up with TerraPass to offset the carbon emissions of the aircraft in their program.
Avantair is the exclusive fractional operator of the slick Piaggio P.180 Avanti II turbojet aircraft. The P.180 is the world’s fastest turboprop business aircraft with a max cruise speed of 396 KTAS (456 mph), range of 1400 nm (1,610 miles) and carry up to 7 passengers. The aircraft is the most fuel efficient “jet” aircraft available and burns much less fuel than other business jets or twin turboprops. Fast and efficient, just the way I like my jets!
Avantair has teamed up with TerraPass to purchase carbon dioxide offsets for all of Avantair’s owners. The efficient Avanti uses only 98 gallons of fuel per hour, so the jet is ideal to match with offsets. TerraPass has provided offsets for over 380 million pounds of carbon dioxide, helping 65,000 customers become more carbon neutral.
Fractional jet ownership means you can purchase a fraction of the use of an aircraft. For you budding CEOs and rock stars, a sixteenth share starts at $420,000 plus $9,400 per month management fees. For those who need a little more time in their jet, shares can be purchased in 1/16ths up to full and multiple aircraft. Avantair has 36 aircraft in their fleet and 56 on order so shares should be available.

Good News!… I am also accepting carbon credit payment in the RICKpass program…..For every $1000. received I will drive my car 1 less km and I will also refrain from pulling out one CO2 sucking weed out of my garden.
