Blended Recycling

Antiquity at Its Best

A friend of mine has used toaster innard parts to make lamp covers, and I think this lamp would go great in her home. A recycled blender lamp, an original from the 40s, is retrofitted with a 40 watt light bulb and would make a great addition to your bar or your kitchen. The original switch has been preserved as the on-off switch for the lamp. Many kitchens of today are stainless steel and this would fit right in! Put in a compact fluorescent and you are not only recycling, but conserving energy as well!

It took me a while to get used to the toaster parts on the ceiling lamp and it may take me time to get used to the blender light, but it is a keeper.

What’s next? Perhaps an old microwave used as a mini greenhouse. Anyone for dumpster diving?

Let’s give it a thumb’s up!
