We come across some pretty strange green gizmos throughout the day. As a result, we thought we might throw together a new series here on LIFE that highlights them. While we’re in no way for bringing more attention (or sales) to these gadgets, we are amused that someone actually came up with them and sad to see resources put to their creation.
Behold! Today’s dumb green product is the Solar Powered Frog Abode. From the description: “When the sun sets, the windows glow. A bit of whimsy for your garden, this little cottage is a cozy home for toads, providing cool, dark shelter during the day and attracting bugs at night. Resin with attached solar panels.”
We’re pretty sure the frog displayed in this photo is a hired actor. No self-respecting frog would dare reside here. For some real toad news that’s actually relevant, check out this post from Environmental Graffiti.
