Hydrogen fuel is starting to show up everywhere — even in lightweight unmanned aircraft.
Researchers at The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have developed a fueling system for unmanned aircraft that allow them to fly for up to 10 hours on only 500 grams of liquefied hydrogen fuel. This efficient system is planned for future military uses (think Predator drones) and civilian (think Minority Report). We just think its cool that the plane can still perform “acrobatic maneuvers such as `rolls’ and `loops,’ using a radio controller.” Groovy.
