The Solar JKT defines high tech and high fashion. The Italian fashion company ZegnaSport collaborated with Interactive Wear to design this great looking jacket suited for work and for play. It’s the first luxury jacket with solar capabilities. The collar integrates 9×5 5cm polycrystalline solar modules for converting 1 watt of sunlight, and what’s more, the power is conducted through the textile! The built-in battery allows you to directly charge your devices. Perhaps your iPod via USB connection?
The Solar JKT is designed to be insulating yet light. It arrives as part of the 2008 Spring/Summer collection, but who wants to wait? I know I’m ecstatic.
