It looks like skateboards are going high-tech these days, too! It appears that the traditional 4 wheeled jobs are morphing into some very interesting, simple vehicles. Self balancing and even electrically powered contrivances are soon-to-be emerging on the half pipes. The iSlide has one wheel and is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell as well as an on-board gyroscope, attaining speeds of 15 kph. (that’s a bit more than 9 mph. for the metrically challenged)
The operator leans forward to accelerate, backwards to slow down. Lights have been added for safety and night time use. If you have a few bucks to invest, this might be something to look into! Check ‘em out at gizmag.com!!
