Automower Reduces Pollution in the ‘Burbs’

Husqvarna Introduces Robotic Lawnmower

Lawnmower exhaust is high on the list of pollution. In fact, I recently heard it was the singlemost source of air pollution! With neighbors mowing their lawns 3 or 4 times a WEEK, exhaust permeating cities and suburbs, perhaps it is time for a change. (you probably aren’t considering horses, right?)

Husqvarana has come up with an automatic battery powered emission free mower called the Automower. Mowing in random patterns, it has built in ‘bump’  sensors–(so it doesn’t mow over rose bushes, or harm your newly planted trees), and is virtually effort free. It is coralled to your lawn by a perimeter wire so you are not mowing your neighbor’s lawn. (same problem we have with the horses, need corralling so they don’t  mow and fertilize over there….) However, the Automower does deposit nutrient rich grass clippings back into your soil!

Unlike our small herd, the automower does not require feeding.  You can see the automower at  automower.us  I can see it now….lounge chair in place, beverage in hand and answering the age old question, ‘YES, dear, I AM mowing the lawn!”
