There is another contender in the ring for a totally petrol free ride. A car that runs on compressed air. See www.theaircar.com for details on how it works. Here are some consumer stats:
- It cost less then $1.50/60 miles to run.
- It would cost about $3 to refill the compress air tank and will then run for 125-150 miles.
- OR, you can have a small compressor right on the car that refills the tank every 3-4 hours.
- You do have to change the Oil, 1 L of veg oil every 30,000 miles or so.
Unfortunately these little puppies are not yet for sale, but the founder of the development company, Guy Negre, has just landed his first large contract with Indian car manufacturer, Tata Motors.

Key parameter is “Stored Energy per unit weight”. The weight has Four parts 1. The vehicle Structure, 2. passenger, 3. Engine, 4. Fuel + tanks.
Then the second parameter is efficiency of the engine system.
Yes the car will work on road but some of the parameters must be promising, for it to reach customers.
Petrol free because the air is compressed by ECO-MIND-POWER not electricity from polluting power plants.
