We have compact fluorescent bulbs in our house, and two of them sit in a ceiling fan. There about a foot apart, and when you turn them off, they glow an eerie green, wind or the like the fluorescent paint I had when I was a kid. The first time I opened my eyes at night, staring up at it from bed, it scared the crap out of me. I had no clue what I was looking at. After calming down, a few seconds later, I couldn’t help but think that this is amazing, for that green glow to be going two hours after I turned it off- it has to be holding onto a tremendous amount of residual energy. So- a fun thought for all you parents- switch your kids room to CFC bulbs no more nightlight needed.
A Green technology after glow
